The Problem
Evie, a Rottweiler from the Aliante area of North Las Vegas, was severely reactive. Having guests over was stressful, and taking her out in public was a challenge. Her reactivity limited what her owner could do with her — the exact opposite of why most people get a dog in the first place.
The Approach
Working with trainer Jaden through our Dream Dog Daytrain program, we used structured, threshold-based training to change how Evie responded to triggers. Just as important, we trained Evie’s owner alongside her — teaching the tools and communication needed to maintain calm behavior in real-world Las Vegas settings, not just in a training room.
The Result
Evie now greets guests calmly and behaves when people come into the home. Her owner can take her out and do more things together, and their bond has grown significantly. As her owner put it: her quality of life is so much better now — and so is her owner’s. That’s the whole point of real-world training.
